Atlanta is a show that Airs on Hulu created by and starring Donald Glover and is about a young rapper Alfred “Paper Boi” Miles, and his cousin Earn Marks as they try to navigate their music careers with the support of their best friends Darius and Van.

Atlanta is a show set in the real world and often tackles many social issues in America in a comedic and surreal way. the Artistic nature of the show twists real social concepts with surreal occurrences and imagery not to show that these social concepts are fictive or imaginary but that these occurrences are real and happen every day. in an age where America is trying to reconcile its two most intrinsic values, freedom and equality, to the minority community while shadowing the bodies and burns of the past with headlines of the present, Atlanta captures the reality of living in a world that no longer feels real.

the surrealist aspect of Atlanta is depicted in this poster by use of expensive shoes thrown on a power line. the act of throwing shoes on power lines is a topic of debate but it has been theorized that this is the act of gang members marking territory. in Atlanta, Alfred and Earn grow up in the inner city of Atlanta and were exposed to gang activity at a young age. combining the brand of shoe with the location they were placed and the significance of shoes hanging from power lines this poster encapsulates the social concepts and the surreal occurrences that take place in this show
