WynFund

WynFund is a financial company located near Wynwood Miami FL, and specializes in providing financial consultation, business loans, and credit lines to developing businesses. our task throughout this project was to create a refreshed logo and website that would capture not only a new aesthetic for the brand but also the aesthetic of Wynwood, Miami which is famous for the street art and culture that surrounds that area. throughout this section, I will show the beginning processes of developing a Mood board for Wynfund as well as rough drafts and the final product of their refreshed logo. at the end, i will show how this logo and colors look on their new website as well.

Initial Logo Sketches

In this phase, what I wanted to focus on was the “Wyn” aspect of Wynfund and how it sounded like conquering and achieving. What I sketched out was a medal icon that creates a ‘W’ with the ribbon. In this phase, it is also important to experiment with different fonts, and since this is more of a professional company, I experimented with more Sans Serif fonts.

Logo Development

After showing our ideas for logo development to the WynFund client, they were attracted to the icon logo you see on the left. The medal icon is simple and adds movement in this phase, it was my job to push the design forward and give it character.

Final Logo

The Main thing the initial logo was missing was any sort of character or dynamic to it and one of the most challenging things for me was finding that balance between professional and Dynamism. i thought back to where this company is located and what makes this area so important and it was the color and culture that makes up Wynwood. The client ultimately landed on this logo which incorporates the ribbon into the actual type, as well as keeping that medal feeling with the actual logo on the right side. the colors were also derived from the color palette in a mood board that I made previously for them and captures the feeling and culture of Wynwood, Miami.

Moodboard Development

What the moodboard needed was a new and developed color palette that would match the aesthetic of Wynwood but also convey a sense of friendliness and power. Ended up placing pictures of the actual Wynwood neighborhood to show the sense of a homegrown nature. however, once shown to the client they wanted to slightly incorporated the sporty aspect I had with my previous Moodboard.

Initial Moodboards

The Moodboard phase usually takes place at the beginning of each project and is a time where we could experiment with our logo in the context of pictures to capture what wynfund is really about. it is also a time where we can experiment with color palettes to ultimately make something that is a design in and of itself.

The downside to these two moodboards was, the top one leaned too heavily on an athletic feeling and the bottom one didn’t really match the feeling of the location. ultimately, a change was needed in the dynamic and color of the moodboards.

Final Moodboard

This Final Moodboard conveys all of the feedback given by the client, as well as some added extra dynamic with the layering off photos. moodboards are meant to be the aesthetic that is to be followed when rebranding a company and this moodboard conveys everything from the location in Wynwood, the color palette being friendly and inviting, and the slight incorporation of winning in sports.

Website Development

As mentioned before, the moodboard is the aesthetic for the brand and every design going forward, that includes website design. over the course of this project a website wireframes were designed by our team that included a home page, services page and a contact page
