The Nike info-graph is a timeline graph of some of the most iconic Nike shoes introduced into the sport of basketball over its long history. Each poster design is inspired by the graphic styles of the time and describes how the shoe was developed.

Founded in 1964 as Blue Ribbon Sports by track and field coach Bill Bowerman, and his former student Phil Knight, Nike was originally founded in a quest for lighter, more durable running shoes for Bowerman’s students. It wasn’t until 1973 when Nike released its first signature basketball shoe for George “Iceman” Gervin. nearly half a century later and Nike is the most profitable shoe company of all time.
